About People Safety and Security (PSS) Organization
The purpose of our PSS organization is to establish standards and monitor their use in order to protect the safety and health of Nokia employees, Nokia suppliers, and the general public. PSS ensures regulatory compliance through procedures and processes managed through the ISO 14K/45K Management System.
PSS also manages key risks at Nokia through the Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Emergency Response, and Security programs.
Job Responsibilities & Competencies
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
You as the EHS Manager in Colombia have the overall responsibility for implementing Nokia EHS standards,
compliance with governmental regulatory requirements, and work with site and Regional leadership and employees for a safe and healthful work environment.
- Work collaboratively and seamlessly with staff to proactively identify gaps in H&S; plans and address these changes.
- Conduct intern H&S; audits and attend any H&S; governmental audits.
- Support the implementation and compliance of Nokia's HS Management System and the project's specifics.
- Maintain detailed records regarding key performance indicators and metrics.
- Develop deep relationships with relevant Project staff to ensure all information and/or works are completed in a detailed and timely manner.
Your responsibilities include the following tasks/programs:
- Environmental
- Environmental Permitting and Reporting
- Hazardous Waste Registration, Storage, Recordkeeping, Reporting, and Compliance
- Chemical Storage, Handling, Tracking, and Emergency Planning
- ISO14001 Management System and Auditing
- Safety
- Knowledgeable on both understanding and implementing ISO45001 requirements
- EME/RF Safety
- ISO45001 Management System and Auditing
- Emergency Management and Response
- Investigation
- Construction Safety including working at heights
- Crisis Management support, including the maintenance of Crisis Management Plans, training of Crisis & Continuity Management Teams, and the proactive coordination of crisis response activities.
Key Skills And Experience
- Master's Degree Preferred or Bachelor's degree required with experience: Safety Engineer, Electronic Engineer, Telecommunication Engineer
- Current license to provide services in Occupational Health and Safety, in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation.
- Fluent in Spanish and have a strong competency in English, written and spoken communication.
- 5+ years of exposure to Health and Safety, mainly in Telecommunications as a manager.
- Background in auditing and managing third-party companies on HS topics.
- Experience with H&S; field audits, supplier management, incident management, and reporting.
- Track record of customer project delivery experience, leading projects and programs to completion.
