CooperVision (CVI) is recruiting a PMO Principal Project Manager for the Global Technical Innovation Group (GTIG), based in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico.
This role is responsible for managing and supporting the GTIG Master Project Management Portfolio and PMO office activities for Global Manufacturing Operations.
The Principal Project Manager oversees and manages the GTIG project portfolio ensuring alignment with the organization objectives and resources.
The main responsibilities of this role include the management and communication of the master project portfolio progress with the different manufacturing sites and support functions, driving PMO best practices implementation and standardization for GTIG,
ensuring that the defined project management methodologies, standards, and tools are applied consistently across all projects, and supporting the GTIG business cycles.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities: Leads Global Manufacturing Operations communication governance program and maintains communication channels exchange with all stakeholders to address new developments that may affect projects and initiatives impacting profit, schedule, costs, deliverables, customer and/or interdepartmental relations.
Maintains the PMO program including standardization initiatives project portfolio management, project guidelines, master project plans, master resource plans.
Assists and co-facilitates strategic planning (VMOST), forecasting and monitoring of project and department operating costs and capital expenditures, among others.
Supports overall analysis and demand for tools and resources.
Creates and develops project monitoring and status dashboards, four blockers, executive summaries, and general update mechanisms.
Leads logistics for GTIG regional,
functional audiences and communications in various cadences.
Coordinates project Reporting forums for the Global Manufacturing Operations sites and functions.
Other duties as assigned.
Travel: May require travel ten percent (10%) of the time (US, OUS).
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Proven planning and technical writing skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Robust oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Advanced computer savviness (MS Office suite).
Knowledge of QRS and safety regulations (OSHA).
High analytical capacity and level of professionalism and judgment to resolve problems.
Flexibility to work extended hours and irregular days based on operational needs.
Experience: Five (5) years of experience in project support or related operational experience in the regulated manufacturing industry required.
Expertise in project management tools required.
Experience in financial analysis and forecasting highly desirable.
Working knowledge and experience of Lean Six Sigma tools preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, science, engineering, or related field.
Project management certifications preferred.
