Consultant - Sustainability, Responsible Sourcing, Human Rights
LRQA’s Sustainability Consulting team specializes in helping clients to design and implement responsible sourcing programs, due diligence, and sustainability/ESG strategies in their supply chains.
We are looking for professionals to help develop our growing sustainability advisory services in the Americas market. You will be part of the LRQA global Advisory team and report into LRQA Advisory LATAM. You will be supported by our global network and make use of our exclusive EiQ data.
In this role, you will engage with the full project cycle with support and direction from senior team members. This includes project design, proposal drafting, project implementation,
creating deliverables, and presenting to clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual to join a rapidly growing and successful business that is disrupting traditional approaches to sustainability, responsible sourcing, and supply chain management.
Your projects will be primarily concentrated on private sector clients spanning a variety of sectors, including consumer goods, retail, food/agriculture, and electronics, covering sustainability topics including human rights, labor and working conditions, and country, commodity, and product risk assessment. This role will be client-facing and require direct engagement with senior stakeholders at companies (e.g., sustainability/ESG, sourcing and/or procurement teams), investment firms, and law firms.

Responsibilities
- Support Senior staff on the delivery of consulting engagements and project management by engaging with clients, conducting research, and synthesizing information to address client needs. You will be expected to keep projects on track and at a high level of quality.
- Contribute to written client deliverables: reports and presentations.
- Communicate and present deliverables to clients.
- Support product and service development: standardization and development of LRQA products across sustainability and supply chain services, through innovating and enhancing existing products, processes, and ways of working to accelerate efficiencies and deliver positive impact projects.
- Assist in business development: proposals, networking, and profiling of LRQA to help the team secure new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
- Report to Associate Director/Senior Consultants regarding the above responsibilities.
Requirements and Qualifications
- 4-7 years of professional experience in sustainability, responsible sourcing strategy, business, and human rights. Professional consulting experience is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of the sustainability business environment and regulatory trends and standards.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Communication, networking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Able to work in Spanish and English; other languages are a plus.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and process quantitative data.
- Detail-oriented, solutions-oriented, questioning mindset, and problem-solver.
- Emotional intelligence and proven team skills. Takes initiative and can work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about social and environmental topics.
- Adept at working virtually and in person – 1:1, team – with a strong capacity for self-management, self-support, and learning/skills building.
- Capacity to work across different time zones, i.e., to hold meetings outside of regular local working hours, when required.
- Ability to respond positively to deadlines and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, and changing work environment.
- Strong information and data processing skills, with the ability to adopt multiple approaches to reasoning, analytical and synthetic thinking, critical thinking and problem-solving, attention to detail, and conceptual and systems thinking.
- Strong organizational skills: self-motivation, time management, planning, prioritizing, flexibility.
- Continuous learning habit.
