Job Overview Plan A Technologies is looking for a skilled Fullstack Developer proficient in JavaScript, HTML and CSS to help translate an existing solution into French.
This role requires a strong understanding of Ruby on Rails Framework, especially Internationalization (i18n), third-party API integration, and full-stack development principles.
Please note: you must have at least 8+ years of experience as Fullstack Developer to be considered for this role.
Job Responsibility Implement Ruby on Rails Internationalization (i18n) best practices to support multilingual functionality.
Integrate third-party APIs such as Google Translate API for automated translations.
Write RSpec and FactoryBot tests coverage for both new and existing features.
Work with Rails Views (HTML/CSS) to support multilingual content presentation.
Develop and maintain JSON API responses using Jbuilder.
Implement and manage queues and cron tasks within Rails for efficient background processing.
Experience 5+ years of experience with JavaScript.
8+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails and familiarity with the Rails Internationalization (I18n) API.
Experience integrating and managing third-party APIs (e.g., Google Translate API).
Hands-on experience with RSpec and FactoryBot for test automation.
Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JSON API development.
Knowledge of queues (Sidekiq, Resque) and cron jobs in Rails.
Experience with other localization frameworks.
Prior experience in website translation or multilingual projects.
Familiarity with performance optimization in Rails applications.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Experience with motion graphics, video editing, or animation is a plus.
Familiarity with UX/UI principles and web design tools like Figma or Sketch is an advantage.
Knowledge of branding and marketing strategies to ensure designs resonate with target audiences.
Very strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Self-learner, able to work both independently and as a member of a geographically dispersed team.
Initiative and drive to do great things.
