Position Title: Senior Back End Developer
Location: LATAM - Remote
What you will be doing: The Senior Backend Developer will lead the development and optimization of scalable, secure backend systems using serverless AWS architecture. The role involves building and maintaining critical backend services, including APIs, databases, and microservices, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain serverless backend systems using Node.js and various AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, RDS).
- Implement and optimize microservices architecture to enhance scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Perform software analysis, integration and unit testing, debugging and code enhancements ensuring code completion, routinely inspect code for optimization opportunities.
- Support requests within our ticketing systems to ensure the timely delivery of development and or processing of failed transactions.
- Develop APIs (GraphQL) to support application features.
- Leverage CI/CD pipelines practices to ensure efficient deployment and integration.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while adhering to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance application performance and stability.
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and other engineering teams to define and implement new features.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and contribute ideas to improve the tech stack.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a Backend Developer, with a strong focus on Node.js and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, ECS, S3, and RDS.
- Strong understanding of serverless architecture, event-driven design, and microservices.
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in version control tools (e.g. GitHub/GitLab).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and CloudFormation.
- Understanding of serverless identity management (AWS Cognito) and authentication/authorization practices.
- Knowledge of modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Good to have:
- Ability to work with frontend technologies like React.js is a plus.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, Python, or Java is a plus.
- Experience with React development.
