Purpose: This Inside Technical Sales role will generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders; understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
This is a front-line sales position that will be customer-facing, reselling mechanical engineering technology, and driving the sales process from start to finish.
Major Roles and Responsibilities: Assess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities.
Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport, providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.
Close new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and email inquiries; verifying and entering information in a CRM to support account development and business forecasting.
Fill orders by transferring orders to fulfillment; communicating expected delivery dates; explaining stock-outs.
Develop accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features and maintaining regular communication with assigned accounts.
Update job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.

Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
