About the role We are seeking a talented Senior Back–End Engineer to join our team as a contractor.
This role will focus primarily on designing, building, and testing robust platform-level solutions for data-intensive applications.
While the primary emphasis is on back-end and platform development, we value full-stack expertise and encourage contributions to front-end efforts as needed.
This role involves working with modern cloud technologies, API-driven architectures, and a broad Azure service stack to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions.
What you will do: Develop scalable, reliable, and data-intensive services in C#, ensuring they align with best practices in performance and maintainability.
Operate as a member of a fast-paced agile product development team with emphasis on customer experience, application quality, and team collaboration.
Design, develop, and implement platform solutions using Azure services such as Cosmos, Azure App Services, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS2), and others.
Build, integrate, and optimize APIs for seamless and secure communication between systems.
Implement data processing pipelines and workflows to support structured and unstructured data requirements.
Collaborate with front-end developers and UX engineering to ensure end-to-end functionality and user experience.
Establish and maintain DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for platform services.
Debug, test, and optimize platform components to ensure reliability and high performance.
Contribute to the documentation of architecture, designs, and processes for clarity and maintainability.
What you bring: 5+ years of professional experience in application and platform development with a focus on cloud-native architectures.
Strong expertise in C# for back-end and platform development.
Proficiency in developing and integrating RESTful APIs with modern security protocols (e.g., OAuth2, JWT).
Strong expertise in secure application development.
Experience in development of financial services applications is particularly beneficial.
Experience with Azure services, including but not limited to ADF, ADLS2, Azure App Services, and Azure Functions.
Programming skills in languages such as Python, R, and SQL are helpful.
Solid understanding of data storage and processing patterns for structured and unstructured data.
Familiarity with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline implementation.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Expertise in designing and building large-scale, distributed systems.
Nice if you have: Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Angular for occasional full-stack contributions.
Experience with Document Intelligence or other AI/ML Azure services.
Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards in regulated industries (e.g., financial services).
Background in Agile development methodologies.
